I always love meeting people with big plans, big dreams, big goals, etc. Whether it’s… “Hey, I’m leaving my job and starting my own company/church/ministry,” or “Hey, she said ‘yes’ and we’re getting married next month,” or “Hey, I’m taking a team to the highest mountain in the world!”…
I guess it’s just the way I’m wired, but those kinds of statements always get me excited and make me want to do what I can to help out, spread the word, encourage, etc.
This morning at 1:05AM, I received a message from a friend I met last Summer at a father/son retreat in the Rocky Mountains.
His name?
Austin Collins.
His message?
“I’m taking a team to the heart of the Himalayas for the Shadow of Everest Expedition.”
That was enough to get my attention. 🙂 Austin has travelled the world on other expeditions of this sort, and I’m confident this one will be a success as well.
